Hello my fellow MB'ers first review ive ever done so be kind. So i recently decided that the reason that i am constantly getting owned by CoveringFire is not because of my skills, which are incredible anyway, but because of the equipment i use, so in a purely impulsive buy i decided to blow £38 on a new mouse and mouse mat. I will review them together because they are pretty much a counterpart of one another. The mouse is the Razer Diamondback, it is half the price of the lachesis and twice as good, it sports a new 3G mouse for faster reaction time and can actually register upto 60 inches a second, pretty damn quick. the software however is another story, using the software is about as fun as something that is incredibly un-fun, that is to say that it is blocky, boring and incredibly and unneccecarily complicated. if you buy one of these mice, do not even bother with the software. it sucks! The mousemat is a Razer speed mat (yes i like razer) and came wrapped up in a massive tube about a foot long, unwraveling it i decided i needed some more space on my desk, unfortunately as soon as i got the mat my pc decided it was going to go kaput, but in the new minutes i had used it i had already found a huge difference in the precision. all together i like both of these products, they work in great harmony together with just a tiny dig at the cruddy software, i rate it 8/10 right now, maybe even a 9 if i get more experience with the mat. Mouse is avaliable at about £26 from Play.com Mat is avaliable at £12.99 from Play.com |
